NEW ADORABLE APRON

Check out Apple Pie Aprons (click on the button on the top left) for the newest apron addition.

Audrey's 1st Birthday

I can't believe that my bunny is 1!!! We celebrated this weekend with a BIG party and the child got more gifts than a teenager would. She loved eating her cake and squishing it between her fingers. She looked adorable in her Abby Cadaby dress and it went perfect with the decor. Look how big she is:

Her Daddy kindly pushed her face into the cake...she didn't seem to mind!!!

As if the scenery is going to change the way my belly looks? Either way..it's getting massive! I have a doctors appointment next week to hear the heartbeat. Although I wish I could see the cute little face again:( All in good time. I can't belive I am half way already!!!!

A Day at the Aquarium

My Dad took Evan, me and my brothers to the Aquarium and River Walk this past weekend. We had lots of fun and it was a gorgeous day in New Orleans. We missed having my sister Jaimie there though. Look how much fun we had:

I convinced Dayne that I was stuck n this things and he was trying to get me out. What a good little brother!

Dad and Daniel putting on a good face!

Dayne loved this whale. He jumped all over it.

I always tell Evan he is my Sea Nurtle...enough said!

A true pearl in the oyster

Dayne making a wish before he threw in his coin....he was pretty intense about it.

Abby Caddaby

My niece, Audrey, is about to turn 1 years old this month. I cannot believe it! I felt like I just watched her birth. My sister decided to throw her an Abby Caddaby Birthday Party. For those of you without children, it's a character from Sesame Street (she was not around when we were little). Anyway, Audrey loves Abby Caddaby and has a doll of her. She even says "Abby."

While shopping for apron fabric I ran across some material that had Abby on it and of course had to buy it to make something for my little Bunny. I decided to make her party dress. I have always wanted to make a pillow case dress but have just never gotten around to it. My grandma helped me since this was my first, but I thought it turned out cute and now I know how to do it. By the way, they are SUPER easy!!! I plan to make many more. So here is Audrey's Birthday Party outfit. Since it is so cold, she will wear long sleeves and leggings under it. I can't wait to see her in it.

Oh by the way, I have managed to break my sewing machine somehow and I am dying to finish the last stitch on the cutest apron that will be up for sale on the Apple Pie Aprons blog next week. Hopefully Maw can come to my rescue and figure out what I did to break it.

"Tale as old as Time"

My wonderful husband took me to go see the play Beauty and the Beast this past weekend. The Jefferson Performing Arts Center was putting it on. I was so EXCITED. After all, it is my favorite Disney Movie and I like to pretend I am Belle. I bought my wedding dress because it reminded me of hers. The place was packed and I was a little jealous to see a few little girls show up in their Belle dresses. If only I could get away with that!! I had to giggle because they were selling "Enchanted" roses for $5 that lit up....they were kinda cool. I fussed Evan for taking me and not buying me an Enchanted Rose....I was kidding.

We were a little nervous at first when the show started 30 minutes late because they had double sold tickets and the place was sold out. It did not seem very professional and I was afraid of what the show would be like. But the show was wonderful! It took everything within me not to stand up and twirl in the aisle and sing with the cast. Granted Belle's voice was much better than mine but hey no one would notice if I just belted it out a little...right??? I refrained and Evan thanked me.

The characters were wonderful as was the set, the songs, and even the fireworks and confetti that popped out occasionally. Evan and I laughed as all of the little girld held up their lit enchanted roses as the beast died in order to bring him back to life. Ok so really it kind of brought a tear to my eye as cheesy as it was.

It was a fun night and as I think about it now I might start dancing and singing "There's something sweet, and almost kind. But he was mean and he was course and unrefined. But now he's dear and so unsure....I wonder why I didn't see it there before..."
